the deception
Kanako's at the hinata inn again. I just wish she won't mess things up this time. Oh, wait a sec. The phone's ringing. "Moshimoshi?"
"Haruka, I'm glad I've called you. We need to talk. Don't tell your sister. It's about Kanako."
Kanako? "What about her, grandma?"
"Well, how should I put this? ... She didn't come home last thursday. She was awfully quiet for the past few days. I don't know what's wrong. Where could she be? I'm starting to get worried but just don't tell anyone okay?"
At that point, I didn't know what's really happening. I just listened to grandma Hina and thought things over. But I swear, grandma Hina called last Thursday telling me that Kanako would arrive at the airport at midnight the day after. Unless... gasp! What a slick kid. "Grandma, I'll just give you an update. I'm sure she's in a safe place so don't worry."

she's almost there
"Keitaro, Kanako's airplane will arrive at the airport tomorrow. I don't recall exactly the time when her airplane will land. But grandma told me to be at the airport before midnight. I can't go so..."
"Eh? Mmmm... no problem. Leave it up to me."
When Keitaro heard of her arrival, he gave me an unusual smile. But deep down, I think he's really happy. I hope there won't be a stir of commotion in the apartment. But I'm sure there won't be anyway.

waiting for the pleasant typhoon
I heard from grandma Hina that Kanako will make a visit to the Hinata Apartment. I don't know exactly when she'll come but I bet everybody will be surprised -- especially Keitaro.
Kanako asked grandma Hina to visit her oniichan. She also insisted that she would stay for a month or two away from abroad. She's showing signs of homesickness. Who could blame her?

off and on
Kuso. Curse this brownout. The sun's up so bright. It's so hot you can see waves of heat outside. I can't go out with so much heat. There's hardly any shade outside. Heck, I'm trapped inside as well. There's nothing to do here. Boring all the way. I want to be somewhere else, rather than here. Going for a smoke won't help either. It'll just contribute to a hotter temperature. The power company better have some explaining to do. Dya, maybe I should ask them what went wrong. I can't wait for the power to come back."Let's see... 921-" Nevermind the power's back on. Woooh. The sudden burst of wind from my electric fan gave me a quick chill. Yokatta.

change in terms
In order to regain my loss, Kitsune-chan better think of an idea fast. It's weird. Business is slow, but it's hot outside plus this is a teahouse -- it's where people buy cold beverages right? So they should be dying to buy our drinks -- because of the hot weather, right? Apparently, it's the opposite.
It's too bright outside. I'd forecast that it'll be too hot this summer.
Hmm... I shouldn't be too concerned about the Teahouse. Kitsune-chan's in charge after all.
"Please don't call me Kitsune-chan." Oh, great.
She's right behind me reading what I'm writing on my diary. I better get back to work. This girl's annoying.
"No I'm not." If you can read this: STOP IT...
